My BirF-day!
We had the usual people along with one "special" attendee. Sean brought a friend and he either needs a lot of attention or has a major case of A.D.D. or BOTH!
He was nice enough but he was so darn loud I can not accurately explain how the afternoon went. It started out funny, then it stopped!!
My mom made my favorite meal, Chicken Cordon Blue, and my brother Kevin made me a carrot cake, from scratch, thank you very much!
After dinner we played Cranium, Pop 5. It was the 1st time any of us played so it was a slow start, but I liked the game. I think some didn't love it, but I would def play again!
I have lots of money to spend at Old Navy thanks to Jake, Kathy & Danny, and Amy, Jeff, & Sean. I can not wait to go shopping for fall/winter clothes...I will probably go tomorrow!
My mom got me a new XM radio since mine started screwing up. Its a newer model so I am excited to get it all set up in my car and get acquainted with it!
Thanks to everyone for coming, for the presents, and for making the day great!
Also, thanks to Kathy and Danny for the balloons...I really like balloons, they are SO festive! Moms dog Oliver disagrees...He was hating the balloons, he would not set foot into the kitchen all day. It was kinda funny!
AND, a special thank you to my mother. For the day, the dinner, the present, and for the whole life thing!!
Eagney OUT!
A pic of me, Jake, and my balloons.
Kathy and a tooth pickin Danny.
Just me w/ Lilly on my lap reading a card.

On tonight's episode of the new series 30 Rock (staring Tina Fey, Alec Baldwin, and Tracy Morgan) there was a Shout out to my hometown Bowie, Maryland!!
Alec Baldwind's character Jack was intoducing Tracy Morgan's character, Tracy, to the the writers of "The Girly Show"
He said...Right this way Tracy, this is Tim Grandy, he's from BOWIE, MARYLAND!
Crazy, hu??

Jakes 18th Birthday
This is going to look like Amys blog, but hey...We are all one big happy family after all.
Sunday was Jakes 18th birthday. It was like most get togethers. We, or should I say, I, ate too much, Danny told an awkward, inappropriate joke, and there were many laughs...usually at someone's expense, but that's how we roll!
Kathy hosted and made a ton of food. It was all SOOO yummy...HATS OFF!!
Here are a couple of pics...if you notice the Birthday Princess balloon, I was in charge of the balloons and I just could not resist getting at least 1 girly decoration. Plus Jake is so laid back, I don't think he minds that kind of silliness!!

LOOK ABOVE AND BELOW...Mama and Kathy...what smells...why the sour looks??

The crappy ride home from FL
As promised here is the post on my drive home from FL. I left at 5 am Tuesday morning.
The ride home did not go very smoothly.
I hit an opossum on 95 about 5 mins into the ride. Then in GA I got a speeding ticket at around 7 am.
I was going to go with the usual comment of "I have the worst luck ever" again, but I cant blame these things on bad luck. I probably could have been a bit more calm or whatever to avoid the opossum. Now don't get me wrong, I did try to miss him...Just didn't. Then the ticket.. I mainly used cruise control, but for some reason I wasn't at the time....I don't know.
Then....I felt pretty tired so I drank tons of coffee which meant tons of pee stops.
Speaking of pee stops here is a picture diary I wanted to share with you...

My Brother Mike was in VA for business so he came to my mothers for dinner. It was fun. Was ate and chatted for a while. Here is a pick of my brothers...Not sure which one will be more annoid that I posted their picture...Oh well...
Sibling relationships - and 80 percent of Americans have at least one - outlast marriages, survive the death of parents, resurface after quarrels that would sink any friendship. They flourish in a thousand incarnations of closeness and distance, warmth, and loyalty.

We did NOT walk the line
While Mo, her Mom, and My Aunt Steff took the dogs for a walk, me and the girls partied like rock stars.
We were watching Walk the Line and danced when the songs came on. The girls seem to really enjoy the music.
I just got home this evening around dinner time (more on the trip in a later post) and I already miss my FL peeps. Mo was so good to me and the girls were a joy to spend time with. I only saw my brother Mike a few short days, but he and I enjoyed watching the Redskins actually WIN! Woooohhh!!
ALSO on this trip I was able to have some time with My aunt Steff and her family. That was also a good time. I miss my FL cousins!!

Here are a couple of pictures of Me with Paige and Sophia. Em is the photographer, she does a great job.
Side bar...IF you ever have the opportunity to make break and bake cookies at Melissa's ONLY make 1 per child...not the whole package. Melissa went on a walk with her mother and the dogs. While she was out the girls and I went ahead and started the cookies. And the little helpers didnt give me the correct instructions...Oh well...no harm no foul.

Hello all
Hello,
There isn't anything exciting to report. Im just watching TV, doing my nails, and getting my packing started to go to FL.
It kinda sucks to pack. I never know what to pack. I tend to over pack, but with driving and not flying its not that big of an issue. I don't have to worry about packing to much to fit on carry ons...
I went to Nichi Bi Ki for dinner last night and the most odd thing happened. We were at a table with what looked to be a dad and his 2 kids. The girl was about 12 and the boy was a yr or 2 older.
Anyway, the guy came to cook our meal and the dad talked to him as if he knew him...Asked how his trip was and so on. The dad got lobster and the kids got an order of steak and shrimp and split it. SO, he finished cooking it and we all started to eat...THEN a few minuted later, ALL OF THE SUDDEN, they all get up to leave...Im not exaggerating when I say that they ate less a quarter of their mean. They didn't even take it to go...LOBSTER; it was a whole lobster tail. I wondered if they even paid, but I saw him paying the hostess.
I just couldn't understand why they would leave like that....
That may not be a great story, but its ALL I got!!
So, that's all for now...I gotta go apply the 2nd coat of nail polish.

Florida here I come....
I am going to be driving to Fl ALONE either Sunday or Monday. Mapquest says its 842 miles and a 13 hr drive, but the upside to driving alone is I will only stop to pee and go thru a drive thru or 2. I will leave early early. Like 5 ish. Now thats early for a gal unemployeed, but I think I can do it.
Make sure you ALL call me at some point during the day to keep me alert and in a good mood. Wish me (and my poor car) luck!!

Phil Collins

Do you like Phil Collins? I've been a big Genesis fan ever since the release of their 1980 album, Duke. Before that, I really didn't understand any of their work. Too artsy, too intellectual. It was on Duke where Phil Collins' presence became more apparent. I think Invisible Touch was the group's undisputed masterpiece. It's an epic meditation on intangibility. At the same time, it deepens and enriches the meaning of the preceding three albums. Christy, take off your robe. Listen to the brilliant ensemble playing of Banks, Collins and Rutherford. You can practically hear every nuance of every instrument. Sabrina, remove your dress. In terms of lyrical craftsmanship, the sheer songwriting, this album hits a new peak of professionalism. Sabrina, why don't you, uh, dance a little. Take the lyrics to Land of Confusion. In this song, Phil Collins addresses the problems of abusive political authority. In Too Deep is the most moving pop song of the 1980s, about monogamy and commitment. The song is extremely uplifting. Their lyrics are as positive and affirmative as anything I've heard in rock. Christy, get down on your knees so Sabrina can BLEEP her BLEEP. Phil Collins' solo career seems to be more commercial and therefore more satisfying, in a narrower way. Especially songs like In the Air Tonight and Against All Odds. Sabrina, don't just stare at it,BLEEP it. But I also think Phil Collins works best within the confines of the group, than as a solo artist, and I stress the word artist. This is Sussudio, a great, great song, a personal favorite

Best pals
I just came across this pic.
When we were in Fl Paige and Nanny were best friends. Paige had to sleep with her Nanny everynight. And as you can see she was a cuddle bug.
